Android is a Google product. It is not a kind of mobile and it is not a kind of application. It is mobile operating system base on linux kernel.
Linux is a operating system which use for desktop,laptop and server.
Android is a upgraded version or it is modified version of linex which is for mobile. All kind of mobile applications is run by android mobie operating system. All the activities which you do in your android phone, done by android OS. With out operating system.
Mostly mobile companies using android operating system. But in mobile business there are basically three type of operating system.
1. Android Operating system (Google)
2. IOS (iPhone Operating system)
3. Window Operating systems.( Microsoft)
Android is one of the most popular mobile operating systems and used by mostly mobile companies
But apple iPhone use his own operating system and that is IOS.
Window operating systems is also type of mobile operating system. But it is not popular and now there are less mobile company. This is owned by Microsoft.
